Collaborative Action Blog Part 6

It's been a case and point type of day, and afternoon...today I had a conversation with a very dear one...Nick White Swan a Lakota Sioux from Rapid City SD...he was in the library doing some research, and we spoke on the phone, about his project...YES FILM related...

And my rant...the conversation turned political...since we wound up talking about Leonard Peltier and of course the lack of realism within any media related issues when it comes to American Indians...

As Nick and I spoke, all of a sudden I heard someone approaching Nick...I was not able to clearly hear what the person said to Nick, however shortly after...Nick advised me that he was "shushed" if you will and asked to keep it down...( I thought to myself...keep it down...we were talking within a normal way over the phone...) anyhow, we cut our conversation...and I returned to more gaiapod related things...when I received an email from Nick in comment form on myspace...

Below is what he had to tell me...and my rebuttal...

I think the people that asked me to be quiet were not liking our conversation. There is a group of white school girls right next to me that are studying out loud, and still are. Yet, the older white guy that asked me to keep it down has not asked them to quiet down.

Oh, well, our conversation was effective in stirring controversy. See?

A small / or big taste of what lies ahead...the great SHUT UP theory...is obviously still ongoing within all aspects of our "intend to be heard"...we shall see how much NOISE we can make...one sound at a time...my dear...
consider this just the pause between drum / heartbeats...;-)hey you know what I will add this to my blog that is rolling on gaiapod. com...

As you can clearly see are the issues described overall...a very sore "tissue"....and extremely tender to the touch...

Now, imagine if people have a problem hearing someone speak about certain political issues pertaining to American Indians...and making it a point to have them quieted down...what do you think will happen when we actually do make it into Television...without the "fathering hands of censorship"....Now as I had told you...this will become very interesting as we will proceed here...so please stay tuned!!!
